“Expect to have hope rekindled. Expect your prayers to be answered in wondrous ways. The dry seasons in life do not last. The spring rains will come again.”
~ Sarah Ban Breathnach
I like this quote, even if personally I’d express the sentiment a bit differently; with the focus on a loving confidence and gratefulness for the hope and blessings you know have already been cultivated and merely have yet to manifest – rather than expectation, which I think is something that binds our minds and spirits to the phenomenal realm and certain types of suffering, and should be something we aim to let go of.
Regardless, neither times full of challenge nor times free of challenge will ever last forever – the eternal balance of life ensures that these ups and downs continuously ebb and flow to change, inspire, renew, and strengthen us.
The key to true freedom is to cultivate and maintain a blissful inner peace which pervades your being regardless of whether you’re struggling through a barren desert full of obstacles, or enjoying a fruitful, lush oasis of prosperity.
Hope everyone had a lovely long weekend and is enjoying the start to their week! xo
