“Love is like a friendship caught on fire. In the beginning a flame, very pretty, often hot and fierce, but still only light and flickering. As love grows older, our hearts mature and our love becomes as coals, deep-burning and unquenchable.”
~ Bruce Lee
I really love this quote from Bruce Lee – I’ve been lucky enough to experience many different kinds of love; some fleeting, some deep and everlasting.
I’ve long said that the love that exists between two people is as unique as the individuals themselves – and that balance and chemistry of energies is what creates endless possibilities for the eternal and unconditional endurance of love.
For me, the deepest loves develop between myself and those who I have great friendships with – be it at new intimate levels, or deepening the unconditional platonic bond.
Especially once we have learned to love ourselves wholly and unconditionally – suddenly, your heart and entire being seem to overflow with powerful loving vibrations for those close to you as much as for all of creation.
Let us open ourselves to the warmth of unconditional love!
Have a very lovely weekend – Family Day long weekend for some of us in Canada! My desk calendar says it’s President’s Day in the U.S. on Monday; perhaps you guys get to enjoy a long weekend, too?
