“The difficulty, my friends, is not in avoiding death, but in avoiding unrighteousness; for that runs deeper than death.”
When speaking on what men sometimes do to evade death, Socrates shares wisdom about the Infinite.
Death is not the finality many believe it to be; but compromising your morals and ethics and going against what you know is right (typically out of fear) leaves a spiritual and energetic scar that death cannot erase.
On the other hand, an austere commitment to consistency in love and righteousness create spiritual and energetic strength which also pervades past the physical death of this body we hold today – and can heal the scars from doing wrong no matter how deep in the energetic body they hide.
Always do what you know is right; if not for others and the world around you, then at the very least for the strength and energetic composition of your own consciousness.
Happy Wednesday! xo
