“We pass by the joys of life without knowing that we’ve missed anything.”
~ Yang Chu
Especially in this busy, modern world.
May we all slow down enough to appreciate what is going on at this very moment – and each moment in time – lest we miss even one moment of the wonder, joy, and mystery that is life!
This is something I try to remind myself of as often as possible. Far too often we’re so caught up in the pace of our responsibilities and tasks to complete that we literally charge through life without ever experiencing it or enjoying it.
There is something to be enjoyed in every moment – seek it out!
I am heading home from work shortly to begin wrapping up some gifts and to start on a special pie to say thank you to my dad – I plan to surprise him with his favourite dessert tomorrow morning when we gather as a family. We usually do Christmas Eve as a family with my mom’s side of the family, but that will take place on Saturday instead this year – so my brother can finally join us for dinner for the first time in quite a few years.
I hope each and every one of you has a lovely and peaceful Christmas Eve.
This Christmas won’t be the white wonderland pictured above, but it will be more comfortable for us ladies to enjoy wearing dresses for the occasion!
Have a lovely night, xoxo
