The great organic debate.
Many people are still under the impression that the organic food movement is ‘nothing but a big scam’.
This is, in part, due to the massive amounts of false and misleading information pumped into the public domain, coupled with the lack of personal responsibility each individual is willing to take towards being aware and mindful of the quality of food they take into their bodies.
Hopefully, this infographic from the Organic Trade Association – in support of the Organic Festival currently going on – will help to set straight some of the confusion many people have about what certified organic truly means.
Let us all take strides to be more informed consumers. In societies like ours built around corporatism and consumerism, our buying dollars are literally voting ballots with which we tell corporations and governments whether or not we support what they are doing.
It is very important that we are fully aware of what our buying habits support and perpetuate on the social, ecological, and economical scales.
With love and light, xo
