“As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.”
~ Proverbs, 23:7
What we hold true to and believe within us is reflected in the world and reality we experience around us.
If things outside aren’t looking so great, looking outwards isn’t going to solve anything.
We have to learn to let go of what we cannot change, learn to accept things for what they are, and turn inwards to reflect on our selves and how we can change our reactions to the outside circumstances.
At first, this can be a difficult task; our modern lives tend to desensitize us to the art of self-reflection. It can feel strange, unwelcome, and uncomfortable.
But underneath that uncomfortable layer is a truth that will liberate your soul like you forgot was even possible; you can rediscover your True Self!
When the beliefs and attitudes held within our hearts change, so too will our reactions to the outer circumstances we seek to have so much control over.
While this does not change the circumstances, it changes the reality of them because we experience it completely differently depending on our state of mind and heart.
So let go! Let go of outer circumstances, worldly issues and worries. Realize that true power is being Master of your Self, and not everything else around you.
