“Were there not the unborn, ungrown, and unconditioned, there would be no escape for the born, grown, and conditioned. Since there is unborn, ungrown, and unconditioned, so there is escape for the born, grown, and conditioned.”
~ the Buddha
This was the first time I’d come across this quote from the Buddha, and it made me stop for a moment and really take in the meaning of what he was saying.
I feel like it opened up a whole new level of understanding of the Unifying Principle for me, or the philosophy of conscious energy and its manifestation in yin and yang.
I had a pretty clear idea of how good and bad could be two different sides of the same coin; now I also see in a new way how unborn, ungrown, and unconditioned are the opposite sides from born, grown, and conditioned of the same ‘coin’.
