“Ours is not the task of fixing the entire world at once, but of stretching out to mend the part of the world that is within our reach.”
~ Dr. Clarissa Pinkola

Sometimes looking at or thinking about the general state of the world can be overwhelming and/or kind of depressing.
For those of us who strive to make some kind of a positive impact on the world around us with the time we have here, we can sometimes get lost in all the different situations and causes which cry out for the manpower and economic means to achieve their goals, not just in the communities we live in but right across the world in every country, in every community.
It is good to keep in mind that, while the efforts and actions of a single person can certainly have an extraordinary impact on the world around them, it is not left up to any one single person to change the world or the things that happen in it.
It is, however, up to each and every one of us to affect the parts of the world that are ‘within our reach’ as Dr. Pinkola says, through being true to our inner selves and working on our own growth regardless of what spiritual or conscious level we are at.
By tuning inwards and discovering what we are truly meant to do with this life we have been given, and then following that ‘vision’ with every word we speak and action we take in our daily lives, we impact not only ourselves and our local communities, but the entire world in more ways than we can be aware of.
